Carbine Level II Course

This training course will build on the fundamental principles learned in the Carbine Level I Course.  Each shooter will perfect advanced supported and unsupported firing positions and learn to build a stable shooting platform in non-standard shooting situations.  On the spot coaching, individual assessments and corrective action will be provided as needed by a seasoned military instructor. With a curriculum derived from military carbine training, shooters will be guided through weapons manipulation and immediate action drills designed to increase the shooter’s ability to handle malfunctions in-stride.  Each participant will leave with the knowledge, skills, and ability to be rapidly establish a stable shooting platform and make first-round hits from multiple positions, ranges, and shooting situations.   We will also begin training to enhance your ability to make rapid close and mid-range shots with a focus on accuracy and speed.

  • Carbine with sling
  • Shooting mat  (optional)
  • Footwear suitable for moving on uneven terrain
  • Knee and elbow pads (optional)
  • Hydration system
  • Hat with a brim
  • Wraparound eyewear, polycarbonate lenses or non-shattering prescription glasses

·       Earmuffs and earplugs – should not interfere with carbine  mounted in prone position  - electronic noise reduction style recommended

  • 200 rounds of quality ammunition
  • Rifle Cleaning Gear (Bore snake, patches, quality lubricant, and cleaning rag as a minimum)
